As the year draws to a close, we would like to thank all our partners and interested parties for the great collaboration in our second year of the intensification phase.

We look back on an exciting 2022.
In addition to hosting our symposium on the product development of NFRPs and biocomposites, we presented some of our research activities and results at our participation in the HSCG's first Long Night of Science, called OHA!

Our researchers continued to work on the consideration of the closed value chain of natural fiber composites, from the extraction of natural fibers to the recycling of components at the end of life, by pursuing in-depth research into the focal points of the development phase in the following areas:

Concepts for the utilization of NFK waste
Heat management and reactor design for the Sabatier process
Economic process chains for the sustainable production of NFK
Natural fiber-based and biodegradable consumables
Recycling of NFK materials
Biorefinery - utilization of regional and renewable raw materials
Material separation processes for aqueous material flows after fiber pulping

We are looking forward to 2023 and to further exciting developments, new focal points of our research and interesting events.
