LaNDER³ Partnership meeting 2024
With the second LaNDER³ funding period slowly coming to an end and the transition to the planned continuation of LaNDER3, the 2024 partnership meeting was designed as a wrap-up of the past years. Under the title "NFK value chain - where do we stand?", employees and partner institutions of the LaNDER³ network came together on September 26 at the Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences to provide insights, share results and create prospects.
A wide-ranging program was offered around the unifying topic of natural fibre reinforced plastics (NFRP). With Dr. Romy Brödner (German Biomass Research Centre) and Dr.-Ing. Sebastian Siwek (TU Dresden, Chair of Wood Technology and Fiber Materials Engineering), two external speakers from renowned institutes were invited to the event. Together with the presentations by experts from the university, this resulted in a series of lectures full of expertise and discussions on three different topics:
The program was rounded off by an accompanying exhibition of local stakeholders on the topic of NFRP and biocomposites as well as a poster exhibition of all LaNDER³ sub-projects.
The kick-off event of the RUBIN alliance EnviroPlast took place prior to the partnership meeting. Both events were planned synergistically in order to give all guests from industry, science and politics the opportunity for mutual, interdisciplinary exchange and to make new contacts. Last but not least, EnviroPlast can be seen as part of a professional consolidation of the topics surrounding NFK.
We would like to thank all speakers, guests and colleagues from EnviroPlast for the successful event and the professional exchange.
