Circulation NFK small series created
On January 27, 2021, the LaNDER³ employees met to consider who, when, which materials and which machine can be made available so that the work steps of the individual research focal points can now be combined.
It is now possible at the HSZG to produce various mixtures of modified natural fibers and plastics in a small series, extrude them, injection mold test rods, coat them, determine material characteristics, test sorting processes and, after shredding, run the process in a cycle.
In an initial test, various proportions of natural fibers were introduced into polypropylene and material test rods were produced by injection molding.
Over the next few weeks, teams from impulse project 1, impulse project 2 and the explorative project will work together on an interdisciplinary basis to further advance this topic.
